Lone Pilgrim, the progressive funeral doom project of Mark Wardlaw (Kenosist, Luna Del Cazador, Wasp Bomb etc.) follows up a debut cassette on Industrial Coast with a 3-track, 40 minute monument to suffering. Blending blackened funeral doom with sacred harp singing (courtesy of an 11 person guest choir) and convolutions drawn from the darkest corners of arcane 70s prog (think Van Der Graaf Generator, Dr Z, Paternoster,) 'This World is Not My Home' pushes the 'Burning Witch and The Dead C covering Goblin' (Noel Gardner, The Quietus) intensity of the debut into new and frightening forms.
